OUR VISION IS…

… to create a thriving community where children and young adults who have been orphaned or are vulnerable find safety, support and the opportunity to flourish.

Founded in 2006 Mind the Gap’s mission is to rescue and restore children and young adults who have been orphaned or are vulnerable, from hardship, by providing them with safe residential care, comprehensive support, and a nurturing environment.

We aspire to be a beacon of hope by extending our impact to the surrounding community and other charitable institutions in the spirit of ubuntu (togetherness).

“Giving children a healthy start in life, no matter where they are born or the circumstances of their birth, is the moral obligation of everyone of us!”

Nelson Mandela

It is no secret that it takes a village to raise a child.

So, we are building a village!

Harvest Family Village was born to give those children in Zimbabwe who are vulnerable in some way a safe home with adults who will show them the love and care they so desperately need.

We want our children to feel…

Part of our purpose is to ensure our children are fit to be integrated into society as self-sufficient adults.

We intend to walk with our children as they transition from youth into young adults. In light of this we created the House of Hope for our 18 to 23 year olds.
